Sangria!

Sangria reminds me of spring, summer, and BBQ's. I am totally dying for summer so I thought I would make some Sangria for our BBQ tomorrow. Garrett and I are going to enjoy dinner outdoors after work on monday!

So I just got done making it. I'm letting it "sit" overnight in the fridge. I figured I would post it now because it sounded good with the recipe Olga just posted.

Thanks ladies for posting already! I'm very excited to swap recipes with you two and share the Lord's love =)

BRITTANY, I know you can't drink Sangria right now, but I read to make a non-alcoholic version, just trade Iced Tea with the wine and omit the Brandy.

1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup lemon juice
2/3 cup orange juice
1 (750 milliliter) bottle dry red wine
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
1 orange, sliced into rounds
2 limes, sliced into rounds
1/4 cup white sugar (optional) -I'm just putting a dash of Splenda instead
2 cups Club Soda

Mix all ingredients except the Club Soda and let sit overnight. Add the Club Soda immediately before serving.

And Enjoy!

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”- Jeremiah 17:7-8
