I have been making meal plans for roughly 7 months (ever since Rowan was born). And this has been so awesome for our family. Not only do I stress less about dinner, I also save money grocery shopping!
I also find a lot of joy in perusing cookbooks, blogs, and internet sites for future meals. Eventually I would like to be several weeks in advance, but right now, I work only one week in advance. It gives me room to think of the weather, what we are doing that week and also what is sounding good to us.
Here is our meal plan for this week (March 14-20th)

Meatloaf & Peas
Tuesday
Spicy Chicken Tortilla Soup
Wednesday
Breakfast for dinner!
Breakfast Potatoes, Green Omelettes and Turkey Bacon
Thursday
Chicken & Salmon with Tomatoe Caper salsa
(salmon for me, chicken for him!)
Friday
Dinner at Nana's
Saturday
Snacks & Light dinner at Saturday Night Church!
